For over 50 years the Thomson’s have been protecting St. Mary Parish. The merger of two agencies in 1987 established the Hebert & Thomson Insurance Agency. With the addition of the Lafayette branch, the agency name was changed to Thomson & Smith. After several years of expansion of producers, employees, products and services the name was changed to Thomson, Smith & Leach Insurance Group in 2004. The organization now boasting five operating offices and a client base of over 7,000 individuals and companies, serving all of Acadiana.
